Critical Studies inTelevision
Extra Credit

The new edition of our textbook, Television: Visual Storytelling and Screen Culture could use some fresh PowerPoint slides that instructors may use in classes.

  1. Review the Television chapter: "Television in the Contemporary Media Environment," by Amanda D. Lotz.
  2. Create a PowerPoint presentation based on it. Essentially, it should be an outline of the chapter's key points that includes (a) all subheadings, (b) all boldfaced terms, and (c) the one figure that appears in the chapter (see below). At minimum, there should be five slides with a dozen bullet points.
  3. Email your PowerPoint file to jbutler@ua.edu by 11:59 p.m. Friday, 12/7.

This extra credit is worth up to three points toward the 100 for the semester.
